The Greeeeenest City

December 29th, 2009 admin No comments

Good bye to Provence for now until I’,Chanel Handbags;m back in two weeks.? I’m now in Besan?on which is in the Franche-Comte region, a region that is situated between the Burgundy region and the Alsace Lorraine region.? It’s on the borderline of Germany and Switzerland.

The train ride yesterday was the easiest train ride as it was direct and only five hours.? The ride was magnificent as usual as I saw the lushest green mountains and lakes.? Train rides are just plainly awesome as I get to see so much of the country.? GOOD TIMES!? GREAT VIBRATIONS!

As soon as I stepped off the train and walked out of the train station, the first thing I saw was GREEN mountains.? There were mountains everywhere, and they were as green as they can be.? Am I in Ireland?? Nope!? I was STILL IN France!? I was completely amazed.

Taking Requests Pt. 4

Havana Club: We were in Mexico City for the second time. I believe it was the year 1993 or 1994. We were to play at the Auditorio Nacional.

The local promoter asked us what we would like to do one evening, after we had performed on several TV shows and I had given countless interviews. Who is playing here tonight was the usual answer. Well, there is a club here,Chanel Handbags, where a Cuban salsa band plays every night. Alright then, off we go. The club was called Havana Club, named after the Cuban Rum brand of the same name. Until the early morning hours we listened to the band and had a little taste of Cuba.

Dirt

3. A fine bottle of red wine. You can almost smell and taste the dirt in a good bottle.

My three favorite ways to celebrate DIRT, the ground, the Earth, le Terroir:

2. The taste of good New Mexican red chile sauce. Maria’s on Cordova Road makes excellent red chile. Some people like their red chile a little darker, the way they serve it at the Guadalupe Cafe. That’,Chanel Handbags;s nice from time to time, but I prefer Maria’s or Tecalote’s version.

1. The smell of the desert after rain falls on a hot day. The hotter and more unbearable the day, the more intense the smell of the dust and dirt when the big rain drops hit the ground. Lovely. There is nothing like it in the world. I stand outside as if in a trance and sniff the air.
